Two Talented Young Coaches Join MX

MX is excited to announce that Lochie Paton and Estelle Macadre will be coming on board in coaching positions, starting in Term 1.

As two of Capital Hockey's brightest young talents, Lochie and Estelle have each represented New Zealand at U18 level in 2016 & 2017, with Estelle also making her National League debut last year. This year both Lochie and Estelle are representing Capital at U21 level.

Lochie hails from Scots College and is now in his second year at Victoria University, studying architecture. Lochie's relaxed and personable nature, along with his technical hockey expertise, makes him a great addition to the MX coaching team.

Estelle has recently finished her last year at Queen Margaret College and is now starting a media and teaching degree at Victoria University. After spending a number of years attending MX sessions as a player, Estelle has come full circle joining MX as a coach. This unique perspective will provide Estelle with the opportunity to bring a truly player focused approached to her coaching.

As we welcome Lochie and Estelle, we say goodbye to Daan, who has accepted a full time role at Wellington Hockey in 2018. We'll miss having Daan at MX, but wish him all the best in his new role and look forward to catching up with him down the track.
